Hey—it’s Joko.
Today, I gonna talk about three essential steps to set you up for immediate success.
These foundational elements are so essential to starting any business that they can also be the source of failure.
You must first find your Why and then define a strong Value Proposition.
Both work together to clarify your purpose, communicate your business effectively, and align your offerings with your customers’ needs.
In other words, once you’ve found your Why and Value Proposition, you will be able to build a simple, always-winning Pitch for your business.

Let’s start with the Why.
Understanding the core purpose of your business is crucial.
The Why represents your mission, how you want to change the world, and your personal purpose.
Many entrepreneurs struggle with a lack of direction, inconsistent messaging, and motivation issues.
Your ‘Why’ creates a strong foundation that guides every decision.
It keeps you motivated and ensures your message resonates with your audience.
A well-defined Value Proposition explains why customers should choose your product or service. It connects your offerings directly to their needs and desires.
To define your Value Proposition, focus on these areas:
• Know your target customers by creating detailed profiles of your ideal customers.
• Understand their pain points by researching the challenges and desires of your audience.
• Articulate clear benefits by explaining how your offering solves their problems.
• Differentiate your offering by identifying what makes your solution unique.
A strong Value Proposition enhances your marketing effectiveness and attracts the right customers.
If you want to know more about value proposition design, I wrote a 66-page ebook for you.
If you like to act FAST (like me), you can see at the end of the email how my micro-services offer can help you.
What’s next?
Once you have your Why and Value Proposition, a concise and persuasive Pitch is essential for capturing interest quickly. It’s a brief summary of your business that you can deliver confidently in any situation.
Not always easy. I agree.
But you can use this simple formula.
For [target audience], our [product/service] helps [customer’s need/problem] by [solution]. Unlike [competitor], we [unique differentiator].
Then, rework pitchable sentences with your tone and style to present them fluently.
Example:
• We help busy working parents with young kids…
• who want to eat healthy without spending time cooking…
• by offering fresh, ready-to-eat meals delivered to their door.
• Unlike other meal delivery services, we offer customizable, fresh meals tailored to your dietary needs.
